About Trinity Lutheran School

Location: Trinity Lutheran School, located at 4740 North State Highway 83, just south of Ponderosa High School in Franktown, is a Christian school, serving children from preschool through eighth grade in the communities of Parker, Franktown, Elizabeth, Castle Rock, and Kiowa.

Enrollment
Trinity Lutheran School serves approximately 160 students in grades preschool through eighth grade, (approximately 90are in the preschool and 70 in K-8). By virtue of its size, Trinity Lutheran School staff members are able to give personalized attention to educational needs and learning styles of each student.

Students experience friendships based on Christian love and concern for each other both in and out of the classroom. The size and closeness of the student body encourages healthy peer groups.

North Central Association: Accredited since 2009

National Lutheran School Accrediation: Accredited since 2009

During the 2007-08 school year, the faculty and school board conducted a National Lutheran Schools Accreditation self-study in conjunction with the North Central Association, and in October 2008 a team of experienced educators conducted a site visit. Following the visit, their report stated that they enthusiastically recommend full accreditation for Trinity Lutheran School. The North Central Association has subsequently granted full accreditation, and the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation granted full accreditation last August during their annual meeting.

2. Academic Test Scores

Trinity Lutheran School administers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, a nationally standardized achievement test every February.

Extra-curricular Activities
Trinity Lutheran School offers extra-curricular sports, drama, music, academic contests, and student service activities. A monthly extra-curricular activity is offered to all students on early dismissal days.

Faculty and Staff
The faculty members of Trinity Lutheran School are trained Christian educators with an average experience of 11 years. Our teachers are Christian men and women dedicated to sharing their faith in Christ with their students, and all are certified graduates of accredited institutions and are licensed teachers in the State of Colorado.

Governance
Trinity Lutheran School is governed by a School Board of seven members, appointed and elected by the Voters of Trinity Lutheran Church. The Principal is responsible for reporting to the School Board and for implementing its policies.
